FortiCloud is the foundation of Fortinet's Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) services, providing a single, cloud-based platform for controlling, monitoring, and securing an organization's complete Fortinet infrastructure. This solution is primarily designed to ease security operations for enterprises of all sizes, particularly those with scattered networks, branch offices, or a requirement for streamlined, cloud-first IT administration.

The platform's key strength is its centralized management and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) features. IT teams may remotely register, configure, and administer thousands of FortiGate, FortiAP, FortiSwitch, and other devices via a single web-based portal. Zero-Touch Provisioning (FortiZTP) enables new devices to be supplied directly to a site and instantly provided with the appropriate templates and security policies upon connection, significantly decreasing deployment time and cost.

Beyond administration, FortiCloud serves as a sophisticated security intelligence and analytics hub. It automatically collects, stores, and analyzes massive volumes of log data from all connected devices in secure regional data centers, allowing for real-time and historical visibility into network traffic, security incidents, application usage, and threats. Users benefit from FortiView dashboards, customisable reports, and cloud-based log retention (with subscription tiers offering up to a year or more), all of which are required for compliance and forensic analysis.
