Newgen-ECM

Newgen-ECM provides a scalable and secure repository for storing content. It operates on a unique Virtual Repository Services concept, known as Omni VRS, which integrates multiple content repositories across the enterprise to streamline content searches and views. This is achieved through federation, a rules engine, and open standards such as CMIS. Newgen-ECM offers a variety of features designed to benefit businesses, including a hierarchical folder and sub-folder structure for organizing documents, dynamic check-in and check-out services with version history, the ability to generate compound documents and collaborate on authoring, and comprehensive folder and document-level operations such as moving, copying, and more. It also includes classification and taxonomy management for metadata ingestion and reclassification of existing documents, enterprise-class search capabilities such as federation, profile, index, date-based and full-text searches, the ability to annotate images and electronic documents, and detailed reports and audit trails. Newgen-ECM is Unicode compliant and offers multi-lingual support, while also providing robust security measures such as access permissions for folders and documents through access control lists with user/group/role-based rights management.
