What do you like about Truein?
Truein fits multilocation attendance needs really well. The geofencing and location-based check-in make sure attendance is happening at the actual site, which reduced proxy entries and confusion. Shift handling, late/early rules, and overtime tracking are practical for on-ground teams. The reporting is clear and saves HR a lot of manual work during payroll. Also, the app is easy for employees to use, even for people who aren’t very tech-savvy, and the support team has been responsive whenever we needed help.
What you don't like about Truein?
Reporting is good, but I’d like a bit more flexibility to customize formats for different payroll needs. Also, a couple of admin screens could be more intuitive, especially when managing multiple sites and shifts, but these are minor compared to the value it delivers.
What challenges does Truein help you to address?
Truein helped us fix the biggest attendance problems we face on sites like proxy attendance, and unclear shift timings. With multiple sites and the team moving around, it was hard to know who was actually present and when. Truein’s location-based check-ins and shift rules brought consistency, reduced disputes, and gave supervisors and HR a reliable real-time view of attendance.
What benefits did you experience while using Truein?
The main benefit was accuracy and time saved. Attendance became transparent for both employees and management, and payroll processing got much faster because reports were clean and ready to export. We also saw better punctuality once late/early rules were clearly tracked. Overall, Truein reduced daily follow-ups, improved discipline on site, and made management smoother.

If you manage a deskless or site-based workforce, Truein is worth considering. My advice is to set up your locations, shifts, and rules properly from day one and do a short onboarding with supervisors so adoption stays high. Once the basics are configured well, it runs reliably and saves a lot of admin effort over time.
