TIBCO BPM Enterprise (previously ActiveMatrix BPM) is a strong enterprise-level platform that extends beyond simple workflow to enable comprehensive Digital Process Automation (DPA). It is intended for large businesses that need to automate complicated, mission-critical procedures across several departments, apps, and data sources. It is now available as a modern, cloud-native solution with a low-code, model-driven development environment for quickly creating and deploying process and dynamic case management applications.

The platform's primary strength is its tight connection with the larger TIBCO ecosystem (which includes integration (iPaaS), data virtualization, and analytics tools). This collaboration enables TIBCO BPM to handle sophisticated, event-driven processes in which the workflow dynamically adjusts in real time to business events and fast data streams.

Process Modeling and Execution: Uses TIBCO Business Studio (an Eclipse-based graphical application) to model processes in industry-standard BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation). It enables process simulation to discover bottlenecks, costs, and optimization opportunities prior to implementation.

Dynamic Case Management: excels in managing complicated, unstructured processes (such as investigations, incident management, and service requests) with a variable sequence of steps.
